MR. GREEN APPOINTED AUDITOR.
. In referring to the. position of Chief Auditor to the Bank of New , Zealand, the acting-chairman of the bank announced to shareholders to-day-that in succession to Mr. R. W.Gibbs,. ex-Chief Auditor, the Government had appointed Mr. A. E. W. P. Green to the post. "Mr. Green's connection with the bank has extended over a period of' nearly fifty years; and he has filled during that time many responsible^ positions, including those of inspector and subsequently, of manager at Auckland," explained the acting-chairman.., : At the close of the meeting'Mr. Shail■er Weston referred' with satisfaction to Mr. Green's appointment as Chief Auditor. Speaking as an old customer, he was qualified to say how" much he appreciated. Mr. Green's appointment as Chief Auditor. He was unfailing in his courtesy, and always had a good grip of affairs. . ■ ■ • ■ ■ ■• .
Mr. Green, in acknowledging Mr. Weston's remarks, said he would always try to do his duty faithfully and well to the Government and to the public.. : ■ . ' "i.
