The address bore .over 'seven 'hundred signatures; from all parts of the Rotorua electorate, including several political opponents. The gathering was a non-party one. The Mayor (Mr. Clinkard), ' Mr.,'Hockly's opponent at the last'election, presided.) The. Hon. Downie Stewart represented the Ministry.
