There are still ten seats, of which the returns are incomplete, and of these four are expected to go to the South African Party, and six to the NationalisU.
Mr. Burton, Minister of Finance, has been defeated.
. CAPETOWN, ieth,June. Two Ministers, Colonel H. Mentz, Minister of Defence, and Mr. I<\ S. Mhlan, Minister of Mines, were defeated.
The former Administrator of the Transvaal, Mr. A. G. Robertson, was defeated at Wakkerstroom.
An unexpected Nationalist, gain ' was General Botlia's old stronghold, Losberg. Other Nationalist gains were Marico, Rustenberg, Ventersdorp, and Heidelburg. Sir Thomas Smart, Minister of Agriculture,.' Colonel D. Reitz, Minister" of Lands, and Sir Thomas Watt, Minister oC Public Works, were re-elected.
