Bhotaplay followers who have tired of stereotyped drama and jazzy farces may, expect to have their hunger for real, impressive entertainment satisfied this week; at the Paramount Theatre, where Thompson Buchanan's. "Loving Lies," featuring Monte Blue, Evelyn Brent, and Joan' Lowell',-is being offered, commencing to-; day, "Loving Lies" is woven around' the adventures of Captain Dan Stover, a' Pacific Coast tug captain; who, shortly after his marriage, protects'the sweetheart' othis first mateihah hour of need and. nearly suffers the disruptien of his own1 domestic happiness as result. Taking advantage-of the situation Stover's .em-, playe? and former matrimonial rival, pleads witH the captain's wife'to accept hia le?e, and. that-he may. haye. s more time tev such - wooing, orders .'Captain Dan to perform many hazardous duties,1 which take'him from his horned Seldom has the screen reflected a more thrilling scene than that -of the Shipwreck from which the captain rescues his wife and finally establishes the trae happiness taken from their-lives by the series of preeoding incidents. Monte Blue plays; the chief role with complete understanding and the same boyish spirit which has won him thousands of friends.. Evelyn Brent'is seen opposite Blue in the char-acterisation-of Ellen Stover, and proves a charming selection.
