Lengthy dispatches from . Rome show that all Italy was roused by the Mat'teotti affair, which is likely to'have farreaching, political developments. ' There is no longer, any idoubt thai the deputy was assassinated. It is even'alleged tfiat. the r authorities are in possession of the body, which already" has been subjected to an autopsy. Certainly a dusVcovered motor-car in' which the kidnapping Was effected is 'in their: possession, and howit came; to-be used has been traced. Amerigo Dumini, a Tuscan Fascist, re.cently, employed on the itafi of the "Corriere d'ltalia," secured the use of: the car.from a' garage supplying cars to the newspaper through the instrumentality, of the editor,' Signor Fih'peili, on the pretext that/h^ was entertaining friends who were in' Rome for a congress 6f-war volunteers. . One report states that the car., was found : wrecked. . Another declares'it was'returned to the garage.
