DEVINE'S EMPIRE HOTEL,
Palmerston North. This popular hot-el was taken over in April last by Mr. W. Porter; late of Hawkes Bay, and well and favourably known throughout that provinces For many years the Empire was conducted by Mr. William Devine1' in a -most"" exemplary manner, and be it said to Mr. Potter's credit he is a. worthy successor to Mr. Devine, and certainly will, as has already been indicated, run the Empire on the' same up-to-date lines as his predecessor. The popularity 'of Devine's Empire Hotel with visitors • to Palmerston North is well deserved, for it is indeed a real home when away from home in every sense. \
