We refer to Messrs. C. J. G)U and Son, who have by capable workmanship built up a most extensive trade. The firm's workshop is situated in Hopwood's Buildings, on Main street, just past the G.P.O. The entrace is by the right-of-way between Hopwood's warehouse and Griggs and Son's premises. Mr. Gill will be remembered by many as scales and weight inspector under the Government, and; there is nothing pertaining to any class of scales or weighing machines—modern or otherwise—but he is thoroughly conversant with and capable of repairing. The sharpening and adjustment of lawn mowers, saws, and tools of all kinds receive special attention, and the prices for the work are exceedingly moderate. The writer, was particularly interested when visiting the firm's workshop with some fine examples of china and glassware rivetting that had just been completed to several expensive pieces of this class of goods.
