LODGE MEETINGS

The fortnightly meSting of the Loyal Sister % Wallis Lodge, 7548,- M.U., 1.0.0. F., was held last evening, Sister M. Highton presiding over a.large attendance. ' The meeting will long be remembered as it was the first occasion on which, the ritual was*, carried right through with, musical,honours.. Sis new members were, initiated, D.D.G.M, Bro. Blair, P.G., and P.D.G.M. Bro. Johnson acting as conductors. Sister Clerkin, of Loyal Hastings Lodge, acted as organist. In responding to lodge honours the visitors congratulated the lodge and its officers on the inauguration of a" musical service. Five hew members were proposed. The lodge closed at 9.15, after which members enjoyed a short dance programme. The Taranaki Street Methodist Church"' Sunday Schoolroom was comfortably fill-, ed last evening, when the Petone juveniles gave a concert,* comprising solos,' .» duets, quartets, choruses, recitations, dialogues,' and fancy dancing. During tlie evening Bro. A. E. Carpinter, super-' intendent of the Excelsior Tent, took a-, flashlight photograph. The D.S.J.T., Bro. H. G.
