A BRIGHT OUTLOOK. ) (CI TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PALMERSTON N., This Day. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sheepbreeders' Association (North Island) was held this morning; Mr. S. R. Lancaster was re-elected president, and other officers are: "Vice-president, Mr. H. B. Stuekey; three members to the council, Messrs. H. J. Dagg, C. E. Vile, and W. C. Knight; delegate to ! the Agricultural Conference, Mr. O. E. Vile. . ' ■ - - ■ The annual report stated. that the outstanding features of the work of the ! past year were the large number—6l— of new flocks registered during the year, and the large importation of stud sheep, from Britain. The position for sheepfarmers generally looked extremely -bright. • ■ v • The council met- and allotted medals as follow.:—Champion Southdown vrani, to Wairai-apa; two-tooth ' Southdown ram, to Masterton, Feilding, Manawatu, Wanganui, Marton, Hawkes Bay, and Combined Associations; Shropshire ram X Marton and district; English Leicester ram, Auckland ; • Border Leicester, Wanganui. . . Sixty' new members were elected.
