MISSISSIPPI EXPLOSION

Afcj the.naval, inquiry into the explosion aboard the battleship Mississippi, a seaman testified that following' the first explosion he was assisting to carry the body of a' seaman from the wrecked turret when the dead man's stiffened hand struck the firing switch, throwing it into contact 'with a live 'shell, and thus producing the second explosion.
