PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
Pola Negri's newest Paramount production, "Shadows of Paris," this week's attraction at the Paramount Theatre, presents her as a queen of the Apaches. Adplphe Menyou, Charles de Roche and Jluntiey Gordon are featured in the sup-' porting cast. Miss Negri has a congenial role, which seems to give her greatei display for her talents than some of her other recent productions. She is equally at home as the tough Apache queen and as the fashionable wife of the Prefect of Police; both characterisations are excellent^ and she effectively handles the dramatic and emotional opportunities. An excellent supporting programme is also shown which includes "Arabia's Last Alarm, one of the famous Sunshine comedies which never fail to please, and the latest Gazette. The Paramount Orchestra add further to their reputation by a well-selected musical programme. The box plan is at the Utility, next to theatre.
