Sir, —Being much • interested in your column "Not Known," of yesterday's issue, I wish to add my remedy for much of the ignorance abroad, "even amongst those on board the magnificent liners coming our way. It is that various organisations pool their funds and place either "movies" or lantern slides., on all passenger boats between the U.S.A., Canada, and New Zealand. Burin" the run I made from Yokohama and "Vancouver last year splendid views of the Rockies were shown twice a week. Then why should our Tourist Department not back up Rotary Clubs, etc., and show New Zealand views on the return' voyage? This is rot done at present, for only last month the publicity expert at Montreal wrote to me to this effect;—-I am, etc.,
