OIL TANKS ON FIRE
ROOFS BLOWN OFF AND PLANT BUKNT.

MELBOURNE, This Day.. Two oil tanks, each of 17,000 gallons, at the Commonwealth Oil Refinery Works at Altona, have been greatly damaged and their contents destroyed by fire. Gas from the burning oil 'exploded and blew the roofs off both the tanks. The pump houses nearby were ignited and the engines and pumps were destroyed. No estimate of the damage has yet been made.
