RESULT OF ULTIMATUM
ELECTRIAL UNION THREATEN A STOPPAGE.
LONDON, 11th June.
The London underground railways management has warned tho strikers to return before 13th June; otherwise they vvill be dismissed and steps will be taken against them for striking without proper notice. (SIDNEI SUN CADLE.) (Received 13th June, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, 12th June. The underground railway employees flocked back to work after the issue of the managers' ultimatum, and made it possible to improve the services. The leaders are hoping for assistance from the Electrical Union, which to-day failed to persuade the companies to consider their demand for increased wages. The electrical shop stewards threaten to declare an official strike and to bring out the workers in the power stations,. and so completely to stop the underground work.
