In the House of Commons, Mr. John Wheatley, Minister of Health, in moving a financial resolution covering the Government's housing policy,' stated that : ii aimed at producing two and a naif million houses during a period of fifteen years, beginning with 90,000 in 19^5, and rising to 225,0001 in 1934, of which two-thirds of the total would be in brick. An agreement had been reached with the building industry, whereby the prices fixed would be those prevailing m 1924, and steps had been taken to. prevent profiteering. -
