NEW YORK, 3rd June.
Charles Ream, a taxi-cab driver of Chicago, identified Leopold and Loeb as youths who in February lured him inr to an automobile and rendered him unfonscious with ether. He picked himself up' i^ a swamp, where he had been thrown after a gland operation had been crudely performed. On 7th April, Marvin Wolf, aged 24, son of a Jewish millionaire, went to the corner to post a letter, but never returned. Weeks later, his body was found in' a sewer, mutilated. The police state that they have ground for believing that Leopold and Loeb were involved in this easel
. Julius Epsemyald, president of ; . Sears Roebuck, America's .' greatest mail order house, visited the. police and attempted to, help Loeb, his partner, in his trouble. The police allowed him to read the boys' confession, in which they are alleged to have detailed elaborate pjans to kidnap Rosenwald's .own grandson and kill him after experimentingon him.
