TV-OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it ■trj '■ " the intention of the Wellington Uty_ Council to introduce in' the forthcoming: session of Parliament the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill. The objects that the said Bill is intended to effect are:— . 1- To authorise the exchange of land at Queon s Park in the City of Wellington for Town - Belt purposes: ■ 2. To abolish the limitation upon Tramways and Lighting Accident. Funds. ■ . 4. To confer further powers on the City m respect of the widening, altering, and extending of streets, and to authorise the City Council to purchase lands for that purpose; to sell surplus lands, and to borrow money by way of special loan by special Order for the purpose of purchasing land for this purpose, and for the purpose' of constructing, widening, altering, and extending streets. .5. To repeal Sections 7 and 9 of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897, Section 6 of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1899, Sections 3, 4, and 6 of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1908, and the AVellington Citv Empowering and Amendment Act, 1913. ' 6. To extend tho. time for carrying out the Evans Bay Reclamation. . 7..
