Mrs. Quinton was' hostess at the concert to seafarers at, the Sailors', .Friend Society last evening, when.her programme .! was much enjoyed. \The performers were* Misses Joyce Downing, Quinton,: Avery n D. Quinton, Hutchih, Henderson, .I. Hutchin, % BaUinger, P. Avery, snd Messrs. - Clift, Matthews; Puckey, Sterling; Shields, :G. ■Brown, and Dpran. Miss N." Ballinger was at the piano. The competitions prizes weie_ donated by the hostess, and v.-eiit to the Port Wellington and the Port Pine. The, missioner appeals foiv discarded i-reading matter for use on the voyages for the men.
