MUNICIPAL MILK FINANCE
to ma rmtcß.
Sir,—The chairman of the Milk Committee twits' fellow-councillors with saying the most who know the least. Passing the vulgarity of .such an innuendo, it would perhaps"y?e more to the point if he would make.; his facts and figures dovetail' with a;'.better 'sense of fitness. for instance, he shows a profit of £3721 13s 7d,,plus; £2919, l4s:9d, equals £6641 Ss 4d. He goss onto say; that, owing to chavgihg too little'in r the summer a loss, of £3500 resulted, Yahd. bearing in mind that a probable'loss;of £3000 has been promised ■-. for . the ; present winter, again through not making the charge high enough,..'making';a.'.total:: loss, of £6500, it- begins to'^appear 'that he is snying both too much arid not enough. Perhaps he. could throw .a little more, light on his own obscurities if he were interested-to make the attempt.—l am, etc., ' ■■'.•• .-• ' ■'' ■■■ '-■■■■■-■ -■. ;,■
