MEETING OF MANAGEMENT

COMMITTEE.

The Wellington Rugby ■ Union's Management Committee met last evening, Mr. J. Prendevillo presiding. Others present were: Father Kane, and Messrs. J. N. Millard, H. Murphy, E. Perry, F. A. Laws, S. G. Hale, G. F. W. Jackson, T. A. Fletcher (Wellington Rugby Referees's Association), E. H. Ward, and A. E. Neilson (secreteryj. . ■• A letter stating that the Lyall Bay Progressive Association had requested the City Council to erect dressing-shed accommodation at the Kilbirnie grounds was " referred jback'\ to the association for information as to which grounds were referred to, as there were sheds at Kilbirnie" and'Lyall Bay. ' The St. Patricks' College -boys were granted permission to practise on the Polo Grounds on Wednesday 'afternoons. Notifications' were received from several clubs of. a desire to withdraw teams as follow:—Stop Out (from fourth class), Khandallah (from seventh class), Boys' Institute (third, fifth B, and seventh-B teams). The applications were granted. A request for the withdrawal of the .Johnsonville third-class team was' referred back for full particulars, as also was an application by the Metropolitan Football Club (care of G.P.0., Wellington) for 'affiliation.

The Berhampore' dub was . granted permission to use Athletic Park on Monday evenings for training-purposes, subject to the control of the caretaker.

It was decided to accede to a reqnest by the Petone. Club to meet a share of the expenses incurred by the Petone fourth A team when it came to town during the railway strike and was unable to fulfil its engagement .owing to to the bad state of the ground. " . TKe entry of a team from the Community Club for the intermediate grade competition was accepted. Notification -was received from theWaganui Union;;that the combined team from that end would wear royal blue jerseys in the trial match. ' .. .

, Thd Training College Club notified that its team to visit Christchurch would be managed by Mr. E. K. Lomas. Application for reinstatement was made by W. T. Deare, and it was decided to forward,lit to the N.Z.R.'TJ., with a favourable recommendation.
