j The Minister of Finance (Mr.' Mas-' sey) informed a "Post" reporter to-day that he hoped .to he able to make a statejment 'in a few days' time '■. dealing with the country's finances as disclosed by the. position at the end of the financial year, 31st March last. ' ' .'•Speaking at the annual dinner of the i Chamber of Commerce', recently, Mr ' Massey" said that there was- goin^ to be a substantial surplus, which had been the result, of the strictest economy on the part of all concerned. ~
