H.M.S. HOOD v. WORKING MEN'S CLUB.
A: very/enjoyable match between the above teams, was played at.the rooms of the Working Men's : Club on Saturday evening, when the club's president, Mr. A. B. At the conclnsion of the contest he voiced the appreciation of the visitors for ; the hospitable manner in which they,:had been entertained: It may be added that Mr. Benoy, the1 Squadron's'champion, paid a visit to/the club on Thursday evening, when he scored a.win and a draw from Mr. J.1 Bruce, the New Plymouth expert, who was passing through Wellington on his way home from the New Zealahd championship tourney (wliich was held in Gore, during, .the Easter holidays).
