BOAT CAPSIZES

V .' r •-■' A boat in which there were two men capsized.off.the Kaiwarra foreshore about 8.35 a.m. yesterday, but •a - rescue was effected; by another boat from one of the hulks,'after the men had been in 'the water about thirty minutes.- The Union Steam' Ship Company's steam launch, a pinnace from one of the warships, and the pilot boat Uta quickly arrived;on the scene, but the men had already been, picked up. Mr. Frederick Hobbs, .caretaker of the steamer Takapuiia, was one of tho rescued men.
