RAROA ROAD
A deputation of those interested in the Raroa road proposal is to wait upon the City Council this evening to ask for a definite statement as to the council's intention in regard to the tramway. As the order paper for. this evening's meeting is a heavy one, and several highly contentious and important questions are to be discussed, incluf'ino- tho appointment of a City Engineer, "it is unlikely that the whole of the business set down will be transacted at one meeting. However, as the council has not dealt with a full order paper at any one meeting for months past, an adjournment will be accepted as quite the usual thing.
