A, .plant'is being installed.. at ' the Margaret Street Consumptives' Hospital by which it is believed patients can be treated with heat and light/rays, identical with, the sun's rays. - The hospital's iialiotherapist believes he has discovered an arrangement of arc-lights which will he batter than sunlight, and hopes ultimately^ to be able :to prescribe lightbaths, indicating tho precise amount and quaiity of the various rays, in the same way. as is done with ordinary drug prescriptions. . It is. believed • the new light-baths will be most valuable for ..tuberculosis, rheumatism, rickets and anaemia It may be possible, to use ultra-violet-rays to countaract the effect of X-rays. !
