A COUNTRY CLUB'S PROTEST.

The Te Kuiti Eacing .Club to-day wired the Minister of Internal Affairs as follows :—"ln view of the fact that the number of totalisator days are limited by legislation, my club emphatically protests against the proposal to grant permits to metropolitan clubs during the visit of the fleet whilst the permits available are quits insufficient to provide for the legitimate claims' of the country clubs, who. have been- applying for additional days -fosmany.years/'—(Signed) Howarth, president, Te Kuiti Racing Club. , . •'-..'
