TAXATION COMMISSION

SITTINGS ON MONDAY.

The Taxation Commission- will commence its sittings in Wellington on Monday next, the 14th instant, at 10 a.m. The sittings will be held in the Confer-ence-room, Dominion Farmers' Institute, Featherston .street. The Commission will sit in Wellington for three days, and will hold a further sitting in Wellington "after its return from the other centres. The Commission will sit in Dunedin on this 29th of April, in Ohristchureli on'3rd of May, and in Auckland on the Bth of May. After silting in Auckland tliu Commission will lelurn to Wellington, anil resume its sittings hero ou the 14th of lUay. All persons having opinions on the subject matter of the inquiry are invited to attend and give evidence. Tt is desired by the Commission to have those opinions put into writing where practicable, and to have the witnesses attend in person, so that the members of the Commission may have an opportunity of discussing the matter with each witness. Where a witness is unable to attend in person, the Commission will accept his written statement.
