WELLINGTON'S WEATHER.
Anti-eyclomc conditions have 'ruled during the past twenty-four hours, and fair weather has prevailed. Drizzling ram was reported at 9 o'clock this morn ing at Cape Maria and Hokitika. The night was cold generally, and at Wellington the reading of the thermometer on the grass was 36, 4 degrees above freezing point. .Easterly and southerly breezes have prevailed, aud are givin« place to northerns in maD y parts of the country.
Office (Mr. D. C. Bates) forecasts moderate to strong easterly breezes backing to northerlies northward of Lyttelton and Hokitika, with northerlies prevailing and increasing elsewhere. Fair to cloudy weather may be expected, with mild and hazy conditions. The barometer is likely to fall everywhere shortly.
