WELLINGTON CLUB'S. MEETING.

The Wellington Hockey Club held its twenty-second annual meeting in the x.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr. W. (J. Morpeth presided. The annual report stated that the two elevens entered in the competitions last season, taking into consideration the many changes that were made in the personnel of each team, were to be congratulated on their performances. The enthusiasm shown by the members of the junior team was highly commendable, and it was hoped that the same spirit would prevail throughout the ensuing season. Two players from the club, Messrs. Boyd and Thompson, represented New Zealand in the Australian tour last year, and greatly distinguished themselves. Five players gained Wellington representative lion.ours. A summary of the results of the two teams is as follow: —Senior team • Cup matches—played' 12, won i, lost 5, drawn 3, goals for 35, goals against 24. Junior team: Gup matches—played 12, won 4, lost 7, drawn 1, goals for 39, coals agaiust 43. The balance-sheet showed ' a very satisfactory state of affairs, there being a credit of £2S 4s. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance-sheet, Mr. Morpeth said that ho was very pleased to see two ■members of the club in the New Zealand representative team, which was the first to leave the Dominion. The report and •balance-sheet were adopted without furthem discussion. The election of officers for the ensuiri" season resulted as follow .-—Patron, Mr° W. £■ Pearson (re-elected); president, Mr. W.
