THE RUSH OF THE DAUNTLESS
"W , SYDNEY, sth April. Ine Dauntless has reached Sydney tor docking purposes. (According to an officer, of. tliei Dauntless, when: the vessel received the S.O.S. -from the Honolulu .Maru she rushed to:the rescue at the rate of over 22 knots, through a raging, sea. 'The warship ■'. was awash continuously, even the bridge,. which is 60 feet'above the water, getting drenched, lhe Dauntless shook so that most of her crockery was broken. ' When Volunteers were called for to man the boats should they be wanted to aid the Honolulu -Maru every available man stepped out.
The Dragon has rejoined the squadron.
