Some fifty players took part in the Tree-planting Cup competition at Miramar. J. T. Tucker, with a card showing 80-3, 77,- proyed the winner, and the next best were E. H. Liddle 85-4, 81; and A. E. Conway, 84-2, 82. Next_ Saturday the first qualifying round in connection with the captain's trophy will be played.
