SYDNEY, 6tlx April. ' On the second day of the Rosebill Autumn Meeting the following was the result of the RAWSON STAKES, of £00 soys; weight-for-age, with allowances; nine furlongs. Mr. B. Chaffey's br h Whittier, by Wborak—Polacca., 4yrs, 9.0 1 Mrs. L. M. Buxton's b g Englefield, by George Frederick—Advantage, 6yrs, 8.13 2 Mr. J. M. Cameron's br g The Hawk, by Martian—Sparrowhawk, syrs, 8.13 3 ■ Twelve started. Won easily by a length and a half.- The Hawk, who ran disappointingly, was a similar distance behind Englefield. ■ Time, lmin 55sec. LaneSe, the brilliant Queonslander, dropped dead from a broken blood-ves-sel while running in the Railway Handicap at Rosehill on Saturday. Laneffe was a five-year-old horse by Linacre— Le Neive, owned by.Mr. M. Ryan.
