SALE OF JERSEY CATTLE
At a sale in Carterlon on Thursday, Suttou ami- Co. disposed ■ of-.-the'h; well-known Tolgarth Jersey lierd, comprising 50 head, at 'an average of 82 guineas, the total realised being 4103 guineas. '"The attendance was large; many of the best-known breeders in the Dominion being represented, and the sale was very keen. The top prices were 3£o guineas and 315 guineas for two daughters of the famous bull Grannie's Knight; bred by Mr. John Hale, Tinariaki. One of 'these cows, Holly Oak Annie, a show 'beast, which produced 1161b of fat in thirty, days, was purchased by Mr. W. "T. Willains.
