WANGANUI, This^Day. North Island and South Island brass band associations, have composed their differences, and all .future'contests will be of a Dominion character. At a conference of delegates. Held at Wellington during the week an. amicable ;'and unanimous arrangement was arrived at,*'and in future the same rules and. regulations will govern both bodies' and all contests. Dr. Thacker has presented-a shield, .to be known as the New Zealand Qhanir ,pionship,Shield. '. ,■' ■" "''''
The first Dominion contest will be held next "year at Auckland, and in 1926 the Dominion Contest -will; be held, at the ;Dunedin Exhibition. ..Jt has been agreed jthat future contest's: will be held alternatively each island, and^ that the imaximum amount o£ prize rhone'v shall be £1000. ■■,"■•.. :-.'■ <.. ."..,.;.
