Gahacan delivered a stirring'.address'on thß;jdeals of Oddfellowship.-.; He congratulated tho. Loyal Antipodean Lodge on the acquisition of such a magnificent property, and. commended the pioneers of the lodge who placed it on such a .firm, basis. Bro. Galiagan concluded by dedisating, the' hall: for the, uplifting: of .mankind.,"and( for humanity in general .District. Grand Master Bro. P. M. SmiUiako'; spoke.- ' ■ The lodge memorial board, .erected-in memory of those brethren who served ii; the Great' War, was then, unveiled by D.S. Bro. John S. M'Leod,.- AudHand.; Bro. M'Leod, in an impressive speech/paid a tribute to the soldiers of the Allies for. their■ services for.humanity,;and said it' was impossible to .honour the memory' of the fallen too highly. ''Nevei forget .the. soldiers," 'he" ."said"... "Tins' 'nilar"' morial is a testimony from the lodge to those who fell and: served in the Great War." The memorial,.a brass plate sur-, rounded.by an oak framed'was then un-. veiled. It contains the names .of ■ '52----brethren, including isix, who.made the ■ supreme .sacrifice.
