BUTTER AGAIN DULL; CHEESE FAIRLY STEADY.
. ■ • LONDON, 3rd April. The butter market is dull after some activity early in the week, whereupon sellers asked higher "prices. Buyers did not respond, and oonsequently-puotations have fallen below last week's level. Quotations are: New Zealand, choicest 150s to 1525, unsalted 154s to. 150s; Australian, choicest^ 140s, unsalted 1445. Danish relapsed on the cessation of the American and Continental demand, and is quoted at about 1655. '
The cheese market is fairly steady. New Zealand white is quoted at 84s, and coloured at 86s. The stocks of New Zealand -md Australian cheese are very large, totalliuz 103,000 crates, compared with 15.0U0 last April.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received' the-following cablegram frcm tlieir London house, under date 3rd April:— Butter market weak. We quote: New Zealand salted; 152s (1545); New Zealand excep-. tional brands, 158s (3505); Danish, 170s (IMS'1; "finest Australian salted, 142s (148s), unsalted 144s (150s). Supplies are in excess of requirements. Cheese: Very slow market. New Zealand, white 84s (S2s\, coloured 85s (84s). "Cadanian fodder offering at 795, c.i.f., May shipment.
