_ LONDON, 31st March. The Free 'State Navy has been dis-' banded, and the ships are laid up at Kingstown. The navy" consisted of small craft for the protection of the Irish fisheries against foreign trawlers. The ships carried small guns, but no gunners. A few rifles were issued to the crews As the ships were slower than the trawlers, and were not equipped with wireless, poachers were able to defy the navy.
