(01 rEUEGWPH.— SPECIAL 10 XSI POST ) tv ™ , AUCKLAND, This Day. ±ne Melanesion Mission steamer Southern Cross is to sail from Auckland on 25th April on her six-monthly cruise of mission stations in the Southwestern Paciac. The vessel, which has been lying at anchor in the stream since her return in December, was floated into dock on Monday for two days' overhaul and cleaning, preparatory to being recommissioned. Captain Burgess has arranged the itinerary for the forthcoming cruise, which will include calls at New Hebrides stations, -beginning at Villa, the centre of the Condominium Government, proceeding to the Banks Group, Vureas, Torres Islands, the Solomons, and Reefs Island. Bishop Steward, of Melanesia, is at present en route from Southampton to Wellington, where he is due to arrive at the end of next week. He will be a passenger to Sioati, on the island of Gela, the headquarters of the mission.
