CONSIDERABLE DIFFERENCES.

LONDON, 18th March.
In the House of Lords, Lord Chelmsfurd summarised the Dominion 'replies in regard to Singapore to the effect .that Canada and Ireland preferred not to advise, while Australia, New Zealand, and Newfoundland urged the construction of the base. General Smuts (S.A.) approved an Imperial policy that would ba conducive to peace.
