CEOSSBEEDS SHOW ADVANCE. Received 19th March, II a.m.) LOXDON, IStb. March. The wool sales opened Eifc>ng, crossbred 10 to 15 per cent, advance, and merinos very linn. Messrs. Dalgety aDd Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London House under date of the lSrh instant:—"Wool sale 3 opened—attendance of buyers is large—competition animated. There is au average selection. Good demand from Continental and English buyers for all wools of good length. As compared with last sale's closing rotes, prices are as follow:—Merino wools unchanged; greasy crossbred wools, fino quality, Id higher; greasy crossbred medium - Id to 2d higher; greasy crossbred coarse, ijd to 2'jd higher; scoured crossbred wools, 2d to 3d higher. Slipo crossbred wools, l}d to 2?d higher." • The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., is in receipt of the following cablegram from its London agents under date ISth • March :—"Wool sales opened today, and were largely attended by Home. Continental, and American buyers. Fine crossbred advanced 5 per cent., and medium and coarse crossbred advanced 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, compared with closing rates of previous sale."

Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd. received the following wool market cablegram from their London agents, dated 16th inst. ■— "Sales have opened flrra; large attendance of buyers; brisk competition; all sections operating. Merino: Poor selection offered; advanced a shade. Crossbred, greasy fine, advanced 5 per cent, to 10 per cent.; medium advanced 10 per cent.; coarse advanced 10 per cent, to 15 per cent.; scoured advanced 15 per cent.; slipe, fine crossbred advanced 5 per ,cent.; medium crossbred advanced 10 per cent.; coarse crossbred advanced 10 per cent " Messrs. Levin and Co. have received tha following cable from their London agents dated IStli March:—"The auction opened here to-day with a large attendance of buyers and keen competition, compared with the* closing rates of last sales. We quote: Greasy nieriuo, no change; half bred, oo's-50's, Id "to Hd per lb dearer; crossbred, iS's-50's, Id to lid per lb dearer; ciossb.-ed, JO's-JS's, Id to Hd per lb dearer; crossbred, 44's-«i's, 24d per lb dearer; crossbred, 4O's-42's, 2Jd per lb dearercrossbred, 3«'s-40's, 2d per lb dearer. Slipe wool, 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, dearer."
