MARIST CLUB'S MEETING.

Although most of the leading athletes were-away in the South, the sports meeting conducted by the Marist Old Boys Amateur Athletic Club at Athletic Park iast evening was interesting some oi the events being very keenly contested. Two Miles Cycle Handicap.—J Blakeway (75yds), 1; C. Flett (scr) 2- Morns (180 yds), 3. Also started- S Harrison -(15yds), T. Davis (40yds " W Clouston (75yds), G. Bright (90yds) A. Clouston (250 yds). After a mile had been covered Blakewaywas in the lead. This position he maintained. Over the last half-milt X^lett moved up to Bri<jjit and Morris, and that trio had a keen tussle for second place. Blakeway won by.soyds, and Flett was 10yds ahead of Bright and Morris, who finished together. Time, smin 36 4-ssec.
