RAILWAYMEN'S WAGES
NEGOTIATIONS STILL IJM I'UOGRESS.
The discussions between the Minister of Railways (the Hon. J. G. Coates) and the executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants with reference to the wviges and conditions of employment in the railway service Were resumed to-day. Up to the time of going to press there was no announcement to make as to the progress made. The negotiations aro being continued tins afternoon. it has already boon statod that any matters on which the parties are unable to agree will be referred to a Wages Hoard, the constitution of which has been pressod for tiy the A.S.R.S. very strongly. The A.S.R.S. members are asKing fqr an increase of 2s 6d per day m the daily rate of pay
