FIGHTING IN PHILIPPINES

MANILA, 14th March. , The authorities learned that 48 Moro outlaws were killed in a battle with Philippine constabulary at Dansalan, in Lano province, whither the troops were dispatched during last October following the murder of eight constabulary officers and three' schoolteachers. Reports state that the bandit leader Santiago 6'scaped to the mountains when lie saw the deadly effects' of the constabulary fire.
