REJUVENATION METHODS
NEW YORK,' 15th March. Dr. Harry Benjamin, a noted surgeon, addressing the New York Academy of Medicine, informed his hearers that ho had administered tho so-called rejuvenation treatment to 70 New York women prominent on the stage and in society and the arts, the results being that 75 per cent, were successful. Dr. Benjamin declares that the treatment should be- accurately. described as the prolongation of life, and while based upon the findings of the Viennese surgeon, Steinbach, it consisted of the application of X-ray and electrical energy. The majority of his patients had already reached their fiftieth year, and had found thoir strength unequal to their tasks. Dr. Benjamin claims no sensational success, saying that in many cases months of treatment was required before quickening of the stream of life resulted. He denied that beauty returns, and declared that only the physical and nervous systems are quickened. Tlie ideal age for treatment is 45 years.
