The greens having been heavily soaked by the week's rain, no bowling matches took place on Saturday. The final of' the Senior Pennants between Victoria, and Newtown will now be played on Thorndcn green on sth April. WELLINGTON CLUB. The president's and vice-president's rinks' match at the Wellington Club has. been postponed until Saturday next, llie length of game has been reduced to 16 heads owing to the lateness of the season. i,A t,- a meetmg °f the directors of the. Wellington Bowling Club it was unanimously agreed to accept the invitation to play a four-rink match with the "'■""■' Club (Auckland) for the shield i offered by Mr. J. Thomson, vice-presi-dent of the Carlton Club. As tho shield is being presented by an Auckland man, it is suggested that the first match should be played at Auckland next season.
