YACHTING
18-FOOTERS' RACE. The races of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club which had been set down for decision on Saturday werepostponed on account of the damage sustained by club boats in the storm last week. Another postponement, necessary on account of the uncertainty of the weather, was that of the "joy night" carnival to have been held at the Boat Harbour in aid of the association funds. The function will take place, weather and other circumstances permitting, next Saturday evening. A postponed 18-foot and under class race was sailed Tiy the RoyaLPort Nicholson Yacht Club on Saturday. There were four entrants—Peggy, Eynin, Geisha, and Kewpie—and they finished in that order, Peggy beating 'Eynin by seconds on corrected times. '
