Three-mile St. Patrick's Wheel Race —H. G. Wntson, 1; F. J. Carey, •* ■ W A. Muir, 3; H. W. Birch, i. Timei Bmin 17 2-osec. V. Hack, of Christchurch, runniimfrom scratch in the Mile Cash Handicap, made up 55 yards in a quarter of a mile' and ran faster than when he won the New Zealand mile championship a few days ago, but W. Adams (Greendale), with a start of 35 yards, beat the champion in a great finish. T. H. Lee, the St. Bede's College flyer, won the 120 yds secondary schools' scratch ra.ee in the sensational time of 12 4-ssec.
