QUEEN'S THEATRE.
An unusually clever Paramount production, "The Silent Partner," with Leatnee Joy, Owen Moore, and Robert Meson—a very powerful ' drama—was given a highly successful presentation at the Queen's Theatre last night. The picture is delightful in every respect. Miss Joy, as Lisa Coburn. finds that her husband is speculating in the stock market and tells him that as long as he wing she will stick by him. but when he loses he loses her—this, not because she does not love him, but rather to save him from himself. Coburn is successful, and Lisa takes advantage of this by making him give her much money for expensive gowns, pearls, and the like. But instead of spending the money, Lisa deposit? it in a bank. Thus when the crash comes she is prepared. -Playing in support of the principals is a "cast of .prominent screen artists. Supporting films are of the usual high standard, and include a Paramount comedy, "-The Rare Bird," starring Monte Banks; a Burton Holmes Travelogue, and the latest Gazette. The Queen's Grand Orchestra, under the direction of Mr. A. H. Jerome, rendered a programme of incidental music. The box plan is at The Bristol.
