(PUBLISHED IN TUE TIMES.) (Received 10th March, 10 a.m.)
LONDON, 9th March.
"The Times" understands that the negoiiations with Senor Nielo, on behalf of Mexico, to secure Britain's recognition of Mexico, have broken down. Senor Nielo failed to produce credentials showing that he was authorised to act. President Obregoii considered it preferable that the matter should be ttikcn up by the British representative in Mexico tiity, i Seuor. Nietu'6 contention was that
Britain, having Tecognised Soviet Russia, considered Mexico's claim for immediate and unconditional recognition stionger than Russia's, and strengthened by the collapse of the Huertan rebellion. *
