LAMPRIERE SENTENCED

PERTH, This Day. Paul Lampriere who pleaded guilty to^ stealing £42 from the Post Office", with violence, was sentenced to three years' hard labour, and declared an habitual criminal. He will be detained after the expiration of his sentence during the Governor's pleasure.
At the time of his trial, on Stli March, Lampriere declared that the penal system, instead of treating him as a first offender for his first oJl'ence, seventeen years ago, placed,him among seasoned criminals. As n consequence he became vindictive uguinil society,
